It's a bit silly, but one of the main reasons I managed to roleplay Merlin was because of the 'Magic Dicks', if it wasn't for that meme i would probably been roleplaying Merlin very serious or I wouldn't have found him fun to roleplay.

Something I would like to make clear, Merlin casts dickmancing on people because it is one of the easiest jokes he can do, because changing the gender of someone is quite easy for this magus, he doesn't do this for pleasure, for fetish , or anything like that.

I will also be make clear that I take the canon / headcanon that Artoria is the one who asked him to do this, because in the GoA novel, GoA CD Drama, and in Merlin's profile, that he didn't care if Artoria she was a man or a woman, in the end she was the king of the prophecy no matter what.
